Feifei Yi is a multidisciplinary artist that offers tufting workshops in California. At first you will be teached how to use the tufting gun and then all the techniques to tuft, finish the piece and more. In the end you will take home a rug made by yourself. Tutu is a studio located in the California’s Bay Area, it was founded by a couple and the name of it was inspired by their dog. Tutu studio offers painting, terrazo homeware and tufting workshops. There are four kind of tufting workshops and the tools are all included. During the class you will be advised by one person of the studio staff and they will give you snacks + water . Tutu has their own designs for tufting but you can bring yours too.

She has a youtube account with which he teaches about tufting, gives tips, shows the process and more. Apart from that, she started with zoom classes and workshops in her studio in Los Angeles. The rug tufting workshop is set up with frames for one person, tufting gun (loop pile or cut pile), wool yarn, fabric, etc., you will learn the tufting basics such as placing the fabric on the frame, operate the tufting gun, try different tools for trimming and backing your piece, all of these in 6 hours.
