Go Tufting NYC
Located in Long Island City and founded on 2022, this studio offers tufting, needle felting and fluid bear workshops. You don’t need any experience to book a class with them because they will teach you all the process of making a rug, mirror or coaster, depending on the project you want to develope the time and price will vary. For booking a class you have to deposit $100 to reserve a seat.
Don’t worry about taking anything with you, they will provide you with all the corresponding equipment. Another thing to know is that before going to your workshop, you have to choose what design you will be making. Below we leave you a table with the projects that can be done in this workshop:

Scattered Kind
The first tufting workshop in Brooklyn, New York. Unlike Go Tufting NY, this workshop only includes the elaboration of a project that enters in frame of 2.5×2.5ft, you have to choose your design before the class and send it to them so they can draw it on the fabric. Another difference is that you will be focused only in the tufting process, they will guide you throughout it, but the trimming, glueing and backing are on them. Because of that, your tufted piece will be given to you in 3 – 4 weeks.

Studio Oddities
Located in Long Island, Studio Oddities offers three types of tufting workshops. You will learn all the basics which include placing the fabric on the frame, how to use the tufting gun, techniques of trimming and how to back/finish your project. In case you don’t finish your piece, they can glue it and back it with a $50 additional. All workshops include the equipment needed such as yarn, tufting gun, scissors, glue, fabric, etc. In addition to these workshops, they offer Mirror Add-Ons which allow to turn your tufted piece into a frame for a mirror.

Remarkable Rugs
Made by Racks Hogan & Spongito, this studio located in Brooklyn guarantees you will learn how to tuft in only 4 hours! The price is $200 and you can book a class here. If you have any questions you can contact them via email, instagram or their website. In addition to teaching tufting, they sell their own rugs so you can see how they work too and be sure that they will teach you well. As the other workshops named before, you will be given all the tools required including yarn, tufting gun, glue, tufting fabric and more.
